About H.E. Sun Chanthol

H. E. Sun Chanthol is a Cambodian politician and leader with a remarkable career spanning several decades. He has served as the nation’s Deputy Prime Minister and held pivotal roles in government, including Minister of Public Works and Transport during two separate tenures (2004–2008 and 2016–2023) and Minister of Commerce from 2013 to 2016.

Sun Chanthol is highly regarded for his contributions to Cambodia’s infrastructure and trade development, playing a key role in advancing public works and enhancing the country’s commerce landscape.

He brings a wealth of academic credentials to his leadership, holding a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the American University. He also completed the prestigious Advanced Management Program (AMP) at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University.
