Donald Ramotar, born and raised in Guyana, is a politician, a former President of Guyana (2011 to 2015) and a Global Indian.

He joined the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) under the leadership of Cheddi Jagan. He was highly influenced by Jagan’s need for strong roots and his anti-racial democratic feelings.

He is embarking on ending Identity Politics, bringing fairness back into politics, and shaping a democratic Guyana that can contribute to International communities through sharing his ideas, experience, and skills in the political sphere of Guyana.
