Areff Salauroo

Dr Areff Salauroo is a distinguished Mauritian leader whose career bridges academia, business leadership, and global human resource development. Holding a PhD and decades of professional experience, he currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of La Sentinelle Ltd, one of Mauritius’s most respected media and communications companies. His leadership reflects a deep commitment to people, performance, and progress,  values that have shaped both his corporate journey and his contributions to international professional communities.

Beyond the boardroom, Dr Salauroo has been a pioneering voice in human resource management across Africa and the world. He is the President of the Association of Human Resource Professionals of Mauritius, where he has championed initiatives that modernise the practice of HR and align it with global best practices. His influence extends internationally as the President of the International Confederation of Human Resource Associations (ICHRA) and as the Immediate Past President of the African Human Resource Confederation (AHRC). Through these roles, he has worked to build bridges among HR bodies, foster knowledge exchange, and strengthen professional networks across continents.

Dr Salauroo’s distinguished record also includes his association with the World Federation of People Management Associations (WFPMA), where he has contributed to policy dialogues shaping the future of global work and workforce transformation.
