About Rik Aby

Born and raised in the UAE, Rik Aby is a multifaceted actor leaving an indelible mark on the UAE film industry and beyond. His journey into acting began at the tender age of 7 when he showcased his talents in a UK opera production of “Hansel and Gretel.” Since then, he has honed his craft, excelling notably in the UAE’s inaugural acting course in 2002. With a repertoire spanning over 50 short films, Rik has garnered widespread acclaim on the international stage.

Rik Aby’s versatility as an actor is evident in his role as the Abu Dhabi prison warden in ‘The Misfits. ‘ Starring alongside industry stalwarts like Pierce Brosnan, Tim Roth, and Nick Cannon and directed by Renny Harlin, this film marked a significant milestone as the first Hollywood production shot entirely in the UAE. Rik’s performance as the formidable antagonist Cpt. James Folk in ‘Saaho‘ and the Bollywood hit ‘Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga‘ have also garnered global recognition, especially on Netflix.

A trailblazer in his own right, Rik Aby etched his name in history as the first UAE resident talent cast in “Aadujeevitham” (The Goat Life), directed by Blessy and scored by Academy Award winner A.R.
