About the Show

Kashmir has remained a hotspot for communal riots and has always been in the breaking instead of the making. “Ridhi” is the voice behind a group of fantastic journalists and writers aiming to reveal a particular side of the narrative that has been suppressed for far too long.

Chief Explorer Rajan Nazran engages in a very informative and sentimental talk with “Ridhi” to bring out the inconsistencies lingering in a one-sided narrative driven by the media.

The personal perspective which has been revealed is quite a crucial one, as identities have been completely erased in the process of creating interesting mainstream news. Every educated Indian, even the ones who do not have a single idea about what is happening in Kashmir, has a formulated opinion on what is happening and what should not. Social media accounts have been proven guilty of fabricating the number of Muslims in Indian occupied Kashmir to understand the inflated population. There are people who, even after being aware of the fakeness of the news, refuse to take it down as everyone has their agendas in the matter.

The system has mowed out the Kashmiri Pandits who had faced a threat- “Flee, convert or die,” resulting in genocides. They are absent from the tales of injustice talked about in Kashmir. None of the political parties had backed them up then, so the automatic association of Pandits to the Bharatiya Janata Party is disturbing. The riots have always been there; the difference is made through the international coverage that it receives now. On the other side, minority girls are being kidnapped and converted while the court looks the other way towards the fact that they are still children.
