About the Show

In our latest episode, dive deep into the underbelly of a Caribbean gem, Saint Lucia. Rajan Nazran meets seasoned journalist Dale Elliott, who lays bare the nation’s struggle with corruption, murders, rising crime, missing funds and alleges a leadership that conveniently looks the other way. Unveiling the harsh reality of the state of democracy, he challenges the illusions surrounding Saint Lucia, revealing what he believes is a leadership more focused on filling their pockets, promoting nepotism and public intimidation rather than fostering transparency or accountability.

The discussion delves into the broken promises of the Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Program, once a beacon of hope, now entangled in a web of secrecy due to the absence of the Freedom of Information Act and the recurring pattern of government officials dodging matters of national interest, epitomised by the infamous case of Saint Jude Hospital—a saga of selective incompetence and administrative ineptitude and much more.

As Saint Lucia stands at a crossroads, the pressing question emerges: Is the destiny of Saint Lucia sealed? Can the fourth pillar of democracy withstand the storm?

Tune into Saint Lucia’s tumultuous journey, challenging you to question the essence of democracy, national prosperity and the elusive concept of a corruption-free utopia.
