Mark Brantley, born on January 11, 1969, is a prominent figure in St Kitts and Nevis. He currently serves as the Premier of Nevis and previously held the Minister of Foreign Affairs position. In a significant turn of events on May 10, 2022, Dr Timothy Harris, facing a Motion of No Confidence and the loss of support as Prime Minister dissolved the Parliament and purportedly revoked the appointment of over 50% of his former Cabinet, including Mark Brantley.

Before his current role, Honourable Brantley held the position of Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis from 2007 to 2015. He is a dedicated family man, married with two daughters.

Mark Brantley pursued his education in law, studying at the University of the West Indies and obtaining his Legal Education Certificate of Merit from Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica. He further expanded his legal expertise by acquiring a Bachelor of Civil Law from St. Catherine College, University of Oxford. Before entering politics, Brantley practised as an attorney, effectively utilising his legal background.
